- Easy Installation: Thoroughly clean the oil pan threaded area, ensuring no residual oil remains in the threaded hole or surrounding area. Screw the auxiliary plug into the hole, rotate clockwise several turns, then counterclockwise several turns. Once the plug bottoms out, slowly remove it. Clean any metal shavings around the hole. Use a T-handle socket wrench to tighten the large plug screw, then finally screw in the small plug screw to complete installation.
